To start things off, I will give a little overview of what my summer entails. I am slightly afraid but also very excited to be participating in molecular genetic and proteomic research at the University of Minnesota. I am from Georgia, and I have never been to Minnesota. It's snowing there right now, and it has been absolutely beautiful this week at school. 80s. Snowing? Seriously? Not ready for that. But I really am very excited.
I am a biology major and plan to get my PhD, do research, and teach. This summer is my first real research project, and I find out my exact study and mentor at the end of next month.
